In elementary school, I was the shy girl. The section on my report card that talked about my participation was always the part that needed improvement, year after year after year. I didn’t say a whole lot, at school, church, or home. Now in my twenties, my career consists of helping others communicate, verbally or otherwise. Whether I’m working with a preschooler with speech or language delays, or an adult with neurological damage re-learning how to say the names of their loved ones, I love my job. Born and raised an hour outside of Toronto, I’ve recently transplanted my life to rural Cape Breton. My roommate, and adventure companion, is my 9-month old rabbit, Agnes. This is a place to share about our dreams, our challenges, and our adventures, wherever the winds happen to take us.
